DREADFUL 5
FOREWORD - Start with a lame excuse
Its been a long time, almost 4 months I suppose. I always wanted to continue my previous blog entry which was "HOW work life affects you?" but I just couldn't continue it from where I left off.
Anyways coming back to this one, I am titling it "The Dreadful 5" and you can say its work of fiction but nonetheless might have some original content dug out from some of my personal experience.
You may wonder after reading this blog, how I came up with such an idea. It's simple :) It was just a simple facebook status update I made sometime back (see image below).
I never knew I would be writing a blog about it, lol. On a good note, I hope to get some feedback for my work-of-realistic-fiction since I really don't know who gets to read my blog these days :( . If no one is reading then is no point writing it, isn't it??

The dreadful 5 are fictional super-villains yet they exist in our worlds... in our minds all the time. They are there yet we don't realise that they are within us all through our lives.
Dr.Fear | Mr.Paranoia | The Pessimist | Loner | Clock-dragger
Note: Some of the characters names/images may strike a resemblence to some movie characters. The characters involved in my blog are a work of pure fiction and has got nothing to do with individual's impersonation in real life. Just read and enjoy
Dr.Fear
"There is nothing to fear but fear itself"
Dictionary defines...fear
n.
1. a. A feeling of agitation and anxiety caused by the presence or imminence of danger.
b. A state or condition marked by this feeling.
2. A feeling of disquiet or apprehension.
3. Extreme reverence or awe, as toward a supreme power.
4. A reason for dread or apprehension.
Doctor fear as his name suggests instills fears into our minds by just reading our thoughts. You can't take him away from your head. His works are so perfect that he has got a Ph.D in Human-Phobia. He lurks around the corner waiting to jump on top of your head so that he can stop from doing whatever makes you feel wrong, bad, sick or in simple whatever makes you "SCARED". Be it day or night, he doesn't bother to strike when it is least expected.
If Dr.Fear were to be imagined in real life, he would look like Freddy Kruger from "A Nightmare on Elm's street" horror series.
Mr.Paranoia
"Confusion is an often too subtle sign of Paranoia"
Dictionary defines...par·a·noi·a
n.
1. A psychotic disorder characterized by delusions of persecution with or without grandeur, often strenuously defended with apparent logic and reason.
2. Extreme, irrational distrust of others.
Mr.Paranoia doesn't have a physical form I can imagine of, because he is just voice at the back of your head. Mr.Paranoia attacks mostly when there is silence around the individual. Just like Dr.Fear, Mr.Paranoia can also read minds and counter with words so disturbing that you just want to get him out even though you know you can't. His greatest powers include completely taking over your head and even making you say somethings which you may never mean or wish to say. He runs through your blood making you the deadliest weapon of words. He often works with his brother "The Pessimist" and they form a deadly combination.
But if you really wanna know how I would Imagine Mr.Paranoia, if he really existed then I would say he would look like Rock-star Marilyn Manson (just my opinion).
THE PESSIMIST
"Pessimism is one negative film which you wouldn't want to develop to see the end result"
- (my own quote) :)
Dictionary Defines... pessimist - a person who expects the worst
Now the pessimist might be a common individual whom I think everyone would be aware of. He stops you from doing what you want to do, he replaces the "Can" with "Can't" and "Do" with "Don't" and "Yes" with "No". He can literally take out your life with his talks. He is the negative of you. His mission is to make you feel that you are the worst creation of God. But Pessimist has shown some vulnerability to Optimist and can be easily overcome when compared to Fear and Paranoia. Pessimist is the weakest link in the chain of "Dreadful 5" but can make a deadly team with Mr.Paranoia and take over your mind.
LONER
"I don't need a friend who changes when i change and who nods when I nod; my shadow does that better"
Dictionary defines...lon·er
n.One who avoids the company of other people
Loner is another common enemy which everyone would have seen. Though he does not have any special powers, his presence can make you feel vulnerable. A loner is just your shadow, he follows you wherever you go and will see whatever you do. He always makes you feel left out and always would envy to see you give him company. Loner can at times seek the help from Mr.Paranoia and the pessimist so that the individual feels lonely.
CLOCK-DRAGGER
"A watched clock never tells the time"
Dictionary defines... Not Applicable
Ever wondered when felt the time was slow so that 5 minutes seemed like an hour. Clock-dragger, she (uh-huh! why not a female super-villain for once) makes you escape reality and go in to a state of the middle world, where time and mind work slow. You can't escape her and she doesn't any assistance in working on your mind. She would definitely make you ask "Could the clock beee more slower?" (Chandler Bing style) :D

CONCLUSION
Well after 3 hours of blogging (time spent on thinking, presenting, and googling) for this topic. In the end I do feel I could have written some more but Mr.Paranoia and Loner want to take it out on me and Clock-Dragger seems to be waiting for her session with me. I guess I better finish it off here. In the end I am not satisfied with the blog, though I very well know I am Pessimist. Let me just hope Dr.Fear gets to play some role in your life after you finish reading this blog (just take a look at his picture before you close the window).
Until my next blog entry, I hope you have your mind occupied... Ha Ha Ha
